Get Real is a dynamic organization that aims to touch and transform the lives of the youth (aged16 to 24) who are incarcerated. We focus only on juvenile detainees (aged 16 to 24) and are at present very involved at the Drankenstein medium B section (near Franschoek – previously Victor Verster prison). The Get Real Mission
- To love our fellow men that are incarcerated, broken hearted and hurting.
- To effectively equip the incarcerated for life’s challenges through training and teaching life and job skills, rehabilitating them into society.
- To put our faith into action as God demonstrates Himself with signs, wonders and miracles-setting captives free and transforming the lost.
We have established a Halfway House, (called Oasis),
for offenders that are released and not yet ready to be
absorbed into society.
The need for these young men to be trained in a specific field.
i.e. carpentry, metal work, farming etc. is of utmost importance,
and we need funds to appoint trained staff to help the various categories. Read more…
